TrackMeNot

As everyone and his mother tries to collect as much data as possible about you, you have to think about how much you want to reveal. Do you really want to have your IP saved with everything you searched for on Google? Maybe, but if there was an easy way to obstruct these data collections, would you use it?
TrackMeNot is a really easy way. All you have to do really, is installing a Firefox plugin and configuring it for a bit. Then, every minute or whatever you choose, it will send a search result to one of several popular search engines. The idea behind this is not to cloak your search results so that they can’t be associated to you, but rather to hide them in a mass of noise. Well, this is no large protection, but an easy way to raise the bar a bit.
