Songs You Should Know #9: Threshold - Phenomenon

There aren’t many bands that manage to have a truly distinct sound, stay true to their sound and yet somehow manage to evolve ceaselessly. Threshold is such a band. A progressive metal band from Great Britain, thus adapting the typical style of prog that is played there, but stripping away the laziness and pretentiousness that haunts most of the bands that play that music. Mind you, I like Enchant and the likes, but I just can’t listen to them for more than a few songs songs in a row. Threshold keep a lighter mood, that is yet dedicated and motivated. I don’t know how to describe it, so just let me say, that if I needed a soundtrack to a scene of some people trying to achieve something great, it would probably be this song.
In other songs, they also show a profound knowledge of Physics, I wonder who in the band is the physicist? Must be, the details given in “Fragmentation” about that physical process are just too complicated!
