Doctor Snuggles

YouTube is a never-ending source of memories. Finding old cartoons I liked as a child provides lots of fun. I loved “Doctor Snuggles” as a child, though my memories are that it is a really strange series. I found 5 minutes of one episode on YouTube, and was really suprised to find out that, in english, no other than Peter Ustinov speaks Doctor Snuggles. AND the episode was written by Douglas Adams!
I also noticed why the series is a completely strange blur in my memory: Because it is, but in a wonderful way. Everything is alive and talks: Trees, sheds, clocks, rivers, even the umbrella the Doctor jumps around on…I also remember some old witches living in houses in gigantic bottles. I’d really like to find more episodes now, maybe some day it will be out on DVD :)
Press “more” for the video embedded from YouTube!

Oh and does anyone remember what the machine was called in english, the one where the Doctor would sit and see everything? Translated from german it would be “The Who-How-What-When-Where-Machine”!

/edit:
Oh, more research has brought up the Doctor Snuggles page, make sure to read the comics, and that there are only 13 episodes! I must have watched each one like 5 times and mixed them all up. Oh, and there are DVDs, a bit expensive for a nonsense buy^^

My Comment and as the creator and original writer of Doctor Snuggles is that the machine you refer to in his shed is called the Whereabouts machine. So that if someone is missing you simply feed an item of clothing or other object that belonged to the missing person or animal etc, and pretty soon on the whereabouts you will see the missing person on the screen with location and directions on how to get there and other useful data. Yes indeed the whereabouts machine is one of my favourite inventions
