Kubuntu - Quick Picture Resizing

If you want to resize images in kubuntu, you might want to install the KIM tools

sudo aptitude install konq-kim

Your konqueror will now have right-click context menus from kim under Actions. You can resize, transform pictures, save them in different formats, create albums and much more. Very easy, quick and useful! (You can, of course, mark more than one picture and resize all in a bundle. If you want to do this in Windows, you should use the IrfanView batch mode).

  1. What is KDE?:

I installed konq-kim and got everything but the picture-resizer, which is all that I really wanted! How can I install the resizer seperatly? Thanks.

  2. Joerg:

I didn’t have to do anything to do beyond installing the package, so I wouldn’t really know. Did you restart the Konqueror or maybe even the computer?
