A double-click in firefox on the empty space on the tab bar opens a tab. Noticed only after I daringly installed Edgy Eft, which has Firefox 2 Beta, which doesn’t have my Tabs plugin yet. But has nicer tabs, so that’s fine. If your tab bar is full, you must use Ctrl+T.
