Things To Come

I have some new CDs, Twelfth Gate, Shatter Messiah and the new Mastodon. The first two will be shortly covered in a combined review, but the Mastodon will get it’s own review some time next week or next weekend, as it is truly remarkable and noteworthy. Until then, look at their MySpace page and listen to “The Wolf Is Loose” to quicken your appetite.
I also have to write about some books, I finished the Dragonbone Throne cycle by Tad Williams which I will recommend. I have started on the last book of Neal Stephenson’s Quicksilver cycle, which will take some months again I think, as it’s is a true epic. It will also require a truly epic of a blog post then, but I think i will split it up into three great parts, much like the cycle itself.
A friend bought me Neil Peart’s Ghost Rider book as a present, I have already started reading and don’t think I can stop until it is finished, I’ll speak about Peart then.
Then, I have the idea of reading up and posting about some of the great machines used for Physics research. I was thinking about starting with Gargamelle, the giant bubble chamber at CERN!
And finally, I will write a 100-Metal song list. I don’t want to call it Top100, but it will be a mixture of that and just fantastic songs you might or might not know. That will be 100 blog posts, yee for content!
