This is really a magnificent project. The 100$ laptop projectis working on…well laptops for 100$. They are to be distributed to schools in Africa, as to be used as a way for the children to learn. I think this is great, of course they are to be sponsored, but just think how much more material you can get to the children if each one of them has a small laptop with WLAN.
Education is the key to solving poverty, and this is just a very good way to do so.
Here is a new video that shows the functionality, and it is really impressive how well it is designed. I think they are developing a pedal system to reload the batteries as well.
